CYMA System Requirements
The following system requirements are valid for CYMA installations only. If you are looking for third party system requirements please visit our third party product page and click on the appropriate company.
CYMA only supports Windows operating systems currently supported by Microsoft. Please refer to Microsoft's Windows Lifecycle FAQ for the latest information.
CYMA Version 23 Configurations
Actian ZEN v15 is the underlying database engine used by CYMA and generally drives the system requirements. You must purchase a separate license to operate Actian ZEN v15 with your CYMA product. If you have obtained and installed Actian ZEN v15 from a source other than CYMA, please ensure that it meets the requirements below. CYMA Version 23 is compatible with Actian PSQL v12 and greater, including Actian ZEN v15. The Actian ZEN v15 database has multiple versions:
- Actian ZEN v15 Workgroup - Actian ZEN v15 Workgroup engine is used for standalone installations; it is the recommended engine if you have five or fewer concurrent users of CYMA. The standard Workgroup engine comes with a license for five concurrent Actian PSQL users; a 30 day trial is included on the CYMA install download.
- Actian ZEN v15 Server - Actian ZEN v15 Server engine is used for true server environments. The Actian ZEN v15 Server supports 2012/2016/2019/2022 Server environments. You may license 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, or 250 user count versions of the Server engine.
- Actian ZEN v15 Client - Actian ZEN v15 Client engine is used for client/server and peer-to-peer installations. It is the required component to install if you wish to connect a CYMA Workstation to a CYMA multiuser or server configuration on both Actian PSQL Server or Workgroup installations.

CYMA Minimum Hosting Recommendations
- Windows Server 2016 or higher
- 4+ virtual processors
- 16 GB memory
- SSD's are highly recommended (10 GB minimum disk space)
NOTES:
- Most Terminal Services environments supported
- Hosting options are available (see Minimum Hosting Reconmmendations above)
- Will not work in Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP, Server 2003, Server 2008 R2 (and older) operating systems
- "Home" versions of Microsoft Windows are not supported (e.g. Windows Vista Home Edition)
- Both Actian ZEN v15 Workgroup and Server version configurations work in a multi-user environment
Employee Self-Service and User Portal Requirements
- IIS Version 7 or greater
- IIS 7 - Windows Server 2016 or greater
- All Mobile Browsers Supported except default browser on Android
