Actian Zen 15: Post Installation Settings

CYMA has noticed that certain Actian Zen 15 settings may not get updated properly during the Actian Zen 15 installation and may result in some issues when running CYMA 22 or greater.

Please ensure the following settings are established at the main installation of CYMA after installing Zen 15 (Workgroup or Server):

  1. Open the Actian Zen Control Center

  2. Look in the Right Pane for 'Configure Local Engine' and click to open

  3. In the resulting menu choose 'Performance tuning'

  4. Ensure that 'Limit Segment Size to 2GB' is unchecked. If not, make sure all users are out of CYMA and then uncheck it (it will prompt a restart of the Zen server and boot users from CYMA) See screenshot below:

  5. Ensure that 'File Close Delay' is set to 0. If not, make sure all users are out of CYMA and then set the value to 0 (it will prompt a restart of the Zen server and boot users from CYMA) See screenshot below:

  6. Click on Apply to set the changes.

  7. Click OK

  8. Please Note: Iif users have been experiencing problems when connecting prior to these changes, it may be necessary to reboot their machines or to restart their Actian Zen Client engines.
